I have an 04 camry v6 with about 34k miles but im concerned that if i do a 0-60 test itll hurt the car, i know a dont have a car with 200k miles, but i figured pushing the gas to the floor might have some consequences, i have minor squeaking from one of the pulleys on the serpentine belt (not sure which one) when i start the car, i suspect that is from water hitting the belt when i washed the car recently, but back to the question... in a car that weighs about 3200lbs and has 210hp.. is there any need to ease on the gas then floor it? i have the 5 spd OD auto trans btw. i kinda disagree in this cause well if its a automatic transmission alot of times the flooring it and kicking it down alot is what causes the tranny to start slipping.... taking off slow doesnt hurt it... the kicking down also puts more strain on the engine if its not warmed up. and also strain on everything also. joints and rear end. it probably wont tear anything up just one time but if u kick it down alot doing this then ur going to tear the tranny out. generaly when trannny go out they burn out lower gears like take off gears like first and second.. they start slipping and thats cause people floor it and it down shifts to them lower gears for the horse power and all those rpm's and strain causes tranny to start slipping if u do it much. but this one time test should be okay No, best done at low mileage, less to break. Have done it in many cars, check serp belt for any cracking on ribs if yes replace. For an honest test for time 0-60 just floor it. You'll be fine just what for blue lights if on street. The relay box is in the engine compartment on the driver's side of the car, just above the fender well. 3 Pull the fuel pump relay out by grasping it firmly and pulling straight up to remove it. Your relay box cover might have a diagram showing which relay is the fuel relay. 4 Put the new relay in place and push on it firmly to make sure it seats properly in the relay box. Replace the cover on the relay box and snap it into place. 5 Reconnect the negative battery terminal and tighten the nut with a wrench. Start the car to test the relay.
